I am planning to go to Pisa from Rome by a regional train. Is there a direct train ? or I have to change in Florence ? In case I have to change can I purchase the ticket for the whole journey in Rome itself ?

No hotel in Italy, or anywhere else in Europe for that matter, will allow a group of 15 year olds to stay permission to go to Italy by yourselves! You need a parent or an accompanying guardian who take hostel!
