How Are Your Dogs Coping With Fireworks?
No problems here, it is a smallish place so not too many bonfire parties going on. However the fireworks which did go off on Wednesday didn't raise so much as a flicker for the bangs, although a couple of the pugs sat on the windowsill and watched the sparkles in the sky. They may have got de-sensitised to bangs, as we are in the middle of shooting countryside, with a couple of big shooting estates surrounding the village, so big bangs and volleys of bangs have been going off since August.

Fall film season - what are you watching?
Ang Lee just won Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival for "Lust, Caution", and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Apparently, it is violent and sexually explicit and will be rated NC-17.
Brian De Palma won Best Director for "Redacted", which is a true story of rape and murder in Iraq. I used to love De Palma, but after the awful "Black Dahlia", I'll need to hear more about this one and the subject matter does not appeal to me.

One of my favorites, extremely dog eared from use is Sandor Nagyz 's book on woodworking mistakes. Matter of fact, I'm getting to be quite on expert on woodworking mistakes, might even write a book myself.

Yeah I play in a PPR and know for a fact Fitz and AJ won't be available when I draft in the 2nd. I see that Stewart was held out again today so I migh bump him up a bit. I still think I would rather have him than guys like Gore, Barber, and Portis.

EDTA Suppositories?
Wow, I learn something new from you all the time, Dana! I had not connected the lead problem directly with eye and head issues. I suspect it is more indirectly related to the "excessive response to external stimuli" in your list of symptoms of lead poisoning but I don't know that for sure. At least that is the way it seems for Alexander, who puts his hands over his ears when he is overstimulated, even if there are no loud noises.
In terms of decreased bone growth, I can say my twins have grown from size 2T clothing to 4T clothing during 2007 after being stuck at 2T for about two years. I think it has a lot to do with chelating enormous amounts of lead from them and supplementing lots of calcium. They are not gaining much weight but they are getting taller more rapidly than ever before.
I'll have to ask Jane about this mercury in the jaw when we see her next Thursday. I haven't heard of that and I'm skeptical so I'll ask her for a citation.
