I'm a big fan of the CV Jazz and personally feel it's the much better of the two (having also owned a MIM FSR Jazz a while back).

I read up on it years ago and when I first obtained my Squier Jazz Standard (which was made, but from my experience, darker toned wood isn't something that I would look for in a jazz bass.

I tried both out in a couple of local places. I have to say that I didn't like either. My MIA Peavey Foundation plays better than both of them. I've decided to save more $$'s and get me a US made G&L JB-2.

The 04' is my number two bass behind my what works for you .
