I am planning on coming to St. John's in June 2012, to do some genealogy research (my mother's parents came from Carbonear & Adam's Cove). Does anyone know of a car rental company that allows for unlimited miles? I am seeing 500 - 750 km limits per week...

I agree with the previous recommendations and will add The Beach Bar on St.
St John ferry is $6 pp ea way - JVD ferry About $70 balcony.
And it is just a short distance from the Ritz .

We like St John much better as there is better hiking and snorkeling and the restaurants cool place....
You need a car at both islands.
The restaurants are much less expensive than St John and there are a bunch of local ones.

To get to st john from St thomas there are two ferries the one from downtown and the one from red hook.
red hook is better bc it goes every hour and only costs 6 dollars. downtown only goes a few times a day and is more expensive.

John, there are a lot of agencies in Cruz Bay.
Note interest is driving on St.
John.
They have an office at the Havensight pier, and they do allow travel to St.
Possibility.
