My wife and I are going to be in Jerusalem and want to go to Petra. We do not want to go to Elat and are getting Jordanian visas ahead to cross at Allenby bridge. Can anybody advise weather we can drive to the crossing our rental car and leave it there...

Chana Israel It doesn't really make sense to tour Petra via a crossing at the Allenby Bridge....
How long will you be in Petra? It has never been mentioned that there is secure parking expect delays it is quicker to tour Petra from Eilat .
