I was on the optifast diet for 12 weeks - shakes for breakfast lunch and dinner plus 2 cups green vegetables per day - 2 teaspoons of oil and 2 ltrs water.
walked 4 k each day and in 12 weeks lost 24 kgs.
i was 104k and stopped at 80 k - after a year ...

I'm doing this! my husband is using optifast through a doctor, dietician and kenisiologist regulated program through....
I weighed in last night and lost 4.8 lbs and my BP was the lowest in it for the long haul .
I started Optifast 7 days ago.

I am using it at the moment to kick start my body as with PCOS & underactive thyroid it can be a hard road.

As with any other Diet you are advised to have HCP support /Approval
600kcal liquid diet (Optifast)/(slimfast) Plus 200kcal Veg so its really a 800kcal per day diet

Went for slim-fast as easer to get hold of List of Vit & minerals much the same as Optifast
when out can I pick a ready made shake or meal bar up at most chemists
I DON'T THINK FBG will tell me much as I am up 2 or three times every...

I hadn't had any eggs in a long time (2 weeks on the Optifast diet, then 10 weekly to get my proteins up.
I don't think it's just a change in food that is doing it, or my BG would have come physically and emotionally.
Enjoy the diet.

Maybe go for the Optifast bars (they are like granola bars) as a possible meal replacement - unless you really like diet shakes....
Optifast is recommended by weight loss surgeons prior to performing surgery...
