Is Kansas City, Kansas the same city as Kansas City, Missouri? Is it a suburb or a different community? If it is the same place it must be the only city in the U.S. that is in more than one state!

Is by far the largest and when people refer to Kansas City it is the one they usually mean.

They are two different cities, but they merge on the border of Kansas and Missouri.

I'm going to Nebraska for vacation in March. The main draw is the sandhill crane migration at the Platte River. I'm planning to spend 2 nights in Kearney with a friend seeing the cranes, then strike off on my own to try to see some other things as well...

Not quite half way between OKC and KC is the largest city in Kansas, Wichita (home of the Kansas Jayhawks) and Mass Street has great shops and eateries.
