When you use the function (fn) key on a MacBook Pro, it acts like a shift key (only works while you hold it) as opposed to a toggle. Is there anyway to change this? Preferably with a native setting, but I'd also consider 3rd party software.

Bootcamp (for running Windows on a mac machine) the FN key behaves EXACTLY as I wished it would on OSX:
On Bootcamp Windows, when you hold a modifier key + any function key it will act as F# already - for that you don't need to hold....

Compound indexes should be strings, so use the appropriate function (STR(), DTOS(), etc.) to convert the field before concatenating it .

If not, try to find a cheap keyboard on eBay and the like .
If it's still under Applecare, get it replaced under warranty .
If the control-p combination doesn't generate a keycode, sounds like a faulty keyboard .

Cvs -z3 -d:pserver....
Keybinding and other stuff are same as linux version.
Original emacs from cvs works perfectly.
Don't bother installing the ports.
Fn+Delete works like forward delete.
On a Mac delete works like "backspace" on a PC .
Fn+Delete should work.

I got a new Macbook Pro in December and straight away I noticed I have to really jab at the Caps Lock key to activate it, sometimes several times.
Pressing it on the left hand side (where my finger naturally reaches to) almost never works.

Yes, the Caps Lock is pressure that we have to press the CAPS lock key fully, it's easy to adapt and I must say I'm partial towards hits the caps lock key?!?!....

If the hole itself is the correct size/shape/orientation, but the key itself is the wrong shape, then I....
But the key itself is the wrong shape, then I am sure the genius bar with simply replace the key/orientation to other holes.
