Maximum Number of Transponder Keys
I'm looking to get a couple more keys for the car. Is there a limit on the number of chipped keys that can be programmed to the ECU?

That leads me to believe, then it's at least four because the car comes with two keys and a valet key, and you can get an extra key without....
You can get a new key for your car based on VIN alone.
To program the keys.

Transponder key. I only have one key for my gt. Ive been thinking I better get another sorted just incase.
Now looking into it I see that it has to be programmed and you need 2 keys or something like that?
I could just get one cut so I can unlock car ...

I believe if you only have one key, you need to take it to a Ford dealer to have a new key coded if a UK dealer will stock the key, as it is a cheap nasty bit of kit, but the alarm fob looks very be worth seeing if a US dealer could....

Since we have the corvette engine, can we get their key system to work? I searched and didn't see a single post about it, so I'm guessing not.
I'd like to be able to have the doors unlock automatically when I walk up and then push a button to start.

There's been discussion, look for push button start and key fob.
Since the Corvette Key System is done by the RCDLM and the BCM and the GTO's is done entirely and electronics forum now.

Since the HR34 must have decent chipset to do what it does, can it record a whole transponder as a future software release like the Dish Hopper?

That is the only way that one tuner can.
The key is that the channels are all on the same transponder.

Ok, the guy whom i am buying my gti6 engine from has already removed all of the engine and wiring from the car, however the ecu is not unlocked..
the good thing is he tell me has has the key (chip) and the imobiliser black box , plus of coruse the ecu...

Yea hes got that....
Easiest thing to do would be to find someone friendly with a 306 GTi-6 and use your ECU/transponder/box on their car to unlock it I'd have thought? you'll need the aerial for the system that sits around/near the ignition barrel.

B3045 - Anti Theft Signal Voltage Low

May soun silly but hav you plugged th transponder....
Have you fitted new ecu or is it original ecu? i know that anti theft signal low means that violet wire out of transponder is not connected, had this problem when making my bench flasher.

I finally pulled the trigger on a remote starter unit and I wanted to know what people thought of the different options for the transponder. Seems there are basically 2 choices:

In the end I replaced the fob and havn't had any problems since .
I had a fob that flattened just one for some reason which had to be replaced every few weeks .
Asking a stupid question but have you checked the batteries in the fob .
