I just want to get a feel for how many people buy their kids passports and how many don't. Please repspond if your young kids 5 and under have passports or you are just using birth certificates

So I've figured out that we have to have passports to go to Canada. The kids don't, as long as we have official birth certificates with us. DH and I do. I'm looking at the government website for passports and trying to understand a few things. I wondered...

I thought kids needed a passport to get into Canada too? I renewed our passports last year a passport book we will apply for it at that time.

My son is going to apply for passports for his children, all under 15, the birth certificates that they have include both parents names and place of birth, are these OK or is there a diferent one that is required? I know the rules changed a few months...

Getting children's passports/papers.
Ok, so two of my kids are my husband's biological children. Born from both of us in the US. We live in the US.
We never got around to doing anything with personnummers or passports for the children- or anything else...
