HI, So, you can't find it in the same location, or you've not looked? It's in the same place.
You really might just have a bad sensor or wire or connection then. Particularly if it comes on immediately. What I have been talking about would be something that would happen as you were running it.

Most folks that end up replacing the knock sensor itself(whether or not they also replace the pigtail), stillTo the best of my knowledge....
To degradation of the knock sensor wire(pigtail), and/or corrosion of the connectors on it.
