If ever there was a case for a 'Recommended with Caveats' award, the Sony KDLHX803 is surely it. Any notions that we ever receive the 'Golden Sample' from manufacturers can also be put to bed with this 3D LCD...

I found Sony's QC on backlights to be pretty dire when buying my set as well (not just for LED Sony and Samsung offerings....

LCD is the best option for now still.
SONY just is one of the most expensive brands (Still backlighting, it depends on the method of lighting.
Technically speaking, SAMSUNG is the best.

Living with a Sony 70"LCD SXRD BRAVIA KS70R200A I have had this sony tv for a little while now and can say that it is absolutely awesome..and bigger than it looks in the shop.
Paired with either my PS3 for Blue-Ray or normal DVD player with 1080P up scaling...

Got a 46" sony here and the left side of the screen is fading-snowy looking. Hopefully the pics will show the problem. I had a good spare tcon so I tried popping it in but it didn't change anything. At this point I think it's got to be the Main board ...

Have a 32" Sony kld32v5810 for sale
