Limbaugh Paul Ron

When people learn to love liberty again, they will elect someone with a Ron Paul type message. My fear is that, for most Americans, the love of liberty has been replaced with the love of BMW's and granite counter tops. We will remain a small island of resistance until that changes. source

Rush Limbaugh was annoyed with the idea of Ron Paul winning the CPAC straw poll, saying that we need a true conservative rather than a libertarian. He never explains the difference between the two. The only difference I can see is that apparently you need to be a warmonger to be a true conservative these days. I'm afraid that a collapse is the only way we will get out of the current predicament. The "true" conservatives will only slightly cutback spending, will start more wars or keep the current ones going, and the path we are currently on is a dead end. Only a true libertarian will make the massive spending cuts we need, but the public will never figure it out. source

He's not "crazy" like most people think, however he does jump to some extreme conclusions sometimes. From what I can tell he's just a very passionate man who is doing what he thinks is right. source

I'd say the bigger issue isn't WHO can lead the GOP, but can the party come together and work together for its common goals? Maybe the way to accomplish that is to have a single leader to take the party forward, but it isn't necessary. Odd how the Democrats are pulling their own party apart and are failing to realize this EVEN after the Massachusetts upset last month. The Administration, Senate and House seem to disagree on almost everything, even though they are all lead by leftist Democrats. source

Perhaps I was a bit too harsh in that assessment. I kind of tune out when I hear someoen ranting and the words "Bilderberg" "Trilateral" or the like come up. source
