Plus if you go over your overdraft limit (which as a skint? No students don't have to use them, an overdraft is there in case your student finance money isn't enough to be careful not to go crazy....
Loans don't always cover everything.
If you asked to extend or open an overdraft, would this add a credit check to your file? Similar to when you apply for a credit card? Thanks

For an overdraft it will do a soft search on your credit file to see wether or not you can afford it like to much debt is the obvious negative.

That WILL affect your credit score.
Suggest you don't go too close to your overdraft limit either, you don't want the interest added exceed your overdraft limit if you do go into it.
