Then you can just do a check in your $article->vote(); method to make sure don't always have to use a join to get vote....
Have a table that keeps track of a user's vote for an article (something like UserID,ArticleID,VoteTimeStamp).

How do you feel about sharing outside links and promoting your own business? i am personally ok with it as long as it's not spammed. i'm ok with siggys and all that stuff. but obviously i'm not the only member lol. so we'll put it to a vote.
