Brissy River Jewies

I have had some luck recently with Jewies at the mouth of the Brissy River on pillies. Have also caught some good keeper bream.
Anyone else having some luck on the jewies using livies? Was thinking about throwing the...

New reel
Looking for some advice on what to do with a reel I have picked up cheap. It's an Okuma Convector CN L30 which I got for $40 brand new in box .
I figured at some stage I'd setup a heavy overhead rig for deep sea fishing and want some advice on...

Just a quick report. Went for a jewie seshion on Monday night. Blowing a crappy ne fishing was tuff had livies out not a touch. But they love squid managed 2 jewies 61 cm and 99. Cm dam one cm short o well next week.

What was shaping up as a great mackeral season has been put on hold due to all the rain. All the fresh coming out of Evans Head and the Clarence has left our waters brown, fresh, cold and not many livies. Bit of a shame as there so much...
