For passport but problem is its Sunday and ....
Was told his passport has been reported as lost/ stolen so his passport was void.

Fill all the necessary fields and affix the photocopy of the FIR along with the application .
Then apply for the new passport as you did before.
They will provide you a Non Cognizable FIR copy.
That youve lost the passport.

If you were....
With your application you have to send a copy of your passport and they assign your work permit number to this passport.
I'd say the first thing to do is get a new passport sorted.
