The .movs played just fine in Powerpoint, with sound and all....
And played in Powerpoint, albeit without any sound.) Then I installed the free MPEG Streamclip 1.8 (which, and I used it to convert the MPEG-2 clips to QT .movs.

I have a presentation of 30 slides and audio that will play throughout. Last year, I was on a PC and used PowerPoint 2010, and there was a nice button to say fade the audio out at the very end of the show. I cannot find the same feature on the MAC PowerPoint...

It simply plays any sounds you for Mac, be sure to send your feedback by clicking “Help” > “Send Feedback…” in any Office application or by clicking on the link....
Unfortunately PowerPoint doesn't include any sound editing features.

As far as I'm aware this isn't possible...the only PowerPoint viewer for Mac the CD there.

My Mum has been sent a CD with a PP presentation on it. It's been sent
encrypted, and won't play on her Mac. I've run it using Crossover, and
it plays, although without audio, as a 'read only' file in PowerPoint,

QuickTime in Mac OS Lion, Camtasia, Screenr, SnapZpro and other software can capture.
