[KittyWhiskas ] Birthday Party & Willie's pretty sister

Yesterday we celebrated Father's Day and a belated combined birthday for Max (now 2 yr old) and Willie (now 1 yr old). I bought the Undercover Mouse toy and they just love it! They played with it for hours and we had such fun watching them. My 9 yr old granddaughter bought a laser toy and Max went wild over it. At first I thought Willie could not see it since he completely ignored it but last night he did give one feeble attempt at catching it.....guess it is just something he isn't so interested it. He lays and watches Max going crazy chasing it.

Went to the Purrfect Cat Rescue adoption showcase on Friday and saw the lady I adopted Willie from. She was holding a beautiful white cat with green eyes and said she was Willie's sister. My heart melted. I held her and she cuddled right in. I'm not planning on adopting another cat since right now two are enough for me to take care of but I seriously considered it. Still thinking about her and, of course, my granddaughter keeps begging me to adopt her while my hubby kept trying to talk me out of it by saying two are enough and pointing out all the obvious reasons why I shouldn't adopt another--reasons that I already am well enough aware of. Although he doesn't realize that trying to convince me not to do something I want to do is not a good thing---only makes me feel like doing it more because I don't take well to being told I shouldn't do something I want to do.....lol

A belated happy Purrday to the boys. I have to agree with Kaye on getting Willie's sister. I really can't afford 5 kitties and never intended to keep more than 2 at the most, but now that I still have the 5 I really wish I had kept their sister. I still wonder about her and hope she is happy and loved. I think she is, but haven't heard in a long time and I've lost contact with the person who would know.

Now that I have said that, there is the other side of the coin. Star is very hateful to Smokey who she grew up with. He come close to her and just sit down and look at her and she hisses or growls at him at him. If he just walks by, she will smack him on the head. Of course, there are going to be spats just as there are between human children.

Just follow your heart.

Happy Belated Birthday to Max and Willie. Please give each of them a great big "Happy Day" hug from me. Oh, and wish hubby a belated Happy Father's Day too. LOL

I'm not trying to influence you, Sue, but almost ten years ago when we adopted Teddy as a kitten his brother was available too. Since Teddy was very feral and I knew he'd need a lot of socialization, we didn't adopt both of them. I've always regretted it and still do until this day. I tried to go back and get his brother too but he had already been adopted. I can only pray and hope that he got a wonderful home. Do what your heart tells you...there's always room for one more if that's what you decide.
