[apple-iphone] Thinking About Getting Mobile Me

On Thu, 21 May 2009 09:49:06 -0500, Jose Lopez-Varela <...@gmail.com

If you are thinking about getting mobile me, here is a great deal
$81.50 fro one year of the Mobile Me Family pack, I believe that is
for 5 .me email accounts, usually more than you pay for the single
account.

Check it out here:

Thanks.

I'm in the UK and always get mine off of eBay.

The last time it cost me £18! rather than the £58 from Apple.

It also is available on Amazon for about the same price ($82.98) - and the
"single" membership is $63.99 - so for $19 more you get the "family" pack -
opposed to $99 and $149

I always get mine from Amazon, I do not think I have ever paid the $99.

Yes. You basically just purchase a new subscription and apply the code to
your account, extending it by a year.

Can you use the Amazon-purcahsed product as a
renewal (as opposed to starting a subscription)?

IIRC, You can. Just take the key code and enter that when you renew.

I will likely renew MobileMe when the time comes, but want to move
from a family plan to a single plan - so only renew the one email
address. Any gotcha's there?

I'm pretty sure that whatever "key" you purchase qualifies the plan - so if
you purchase a MobileMe regular subscription will only enable your primary
account.

I would ask, Apple now has chat support 24 hours a day 7 days a week
from your mobile me page. Ask and be safe!

Just chatted with Apple on their chat support.

I currently have the family plan. If I purchase a single account
activation key from wherever and type that in, the primary account
will renew into a single account, and the sub accounts will just go
away. Simple enough.

Thanks.
