It's possible, but iffy.
The best way to find out is to simply try!
I would suggest doing a bare-metal backup of the disk with something like Acronis True Image or DriveImage XML .
It would probably work, as long as it's an XP Home OEM disk .

The videos here are full of great tips and wonderful examples of kits that mix manufacturers, but I almost never do. Lazy, I guess! A single collection is already coordinated, so why go to the extra trouble? I will mix collections within the same manufacturer...
