Car hire....
You need a car in Margaret river if you want much longer.
I don't recommend that you drop off the hire car in Margaret River to get a cab from the airport to their Bayswater office.
Which will be most interesting.

I’ve been everywhere - a roaming Oz trip report .
The general idea here is to visit an area for a week to get your reports, experiences, and idea of that area.
We can have attractions to see, pics of points of interest etc.

We explored some of the back tracks and discovered interesting scenery around the Mayne River.
From Apollo Bay, the scenery changes as travellers.
Lorne and Cumberlund River and lots more.

After Perth, I plan two days in lucieville b&b in Bridgetown . After reading about Margaret river, I thought I might want to see their surfs. Can I do day trip while staying in Bridgetown or spent I night each in Bridgetown and Margaret river?

Lots of places to choose just by strolling the main street - or where you looking for posher places like out at the vineyards ? For a great lunch try Olio Bello in Cowaramup .
