I would advise you to go into Mathematics, as this way you'll still be able to take some of the CS outside of the Mathematics department by the time you graduate, so you can't take too many CS courses if you go into Mathematics, as....

I've got a BSc in Mathematics , so Leeds University though it was a science , though formal rules of grammar.
Surely logic and mathematics are the tools of science, rather than science to experiment....

Anyone ever take Discrete Mathematics?
I'll chime in to let you know it was one of the easier math classes I took and one of the most interesting. Possibly I found it easier because it was interesting and I had a very good professor. I found my calc series to be much harder and less practical for computer science application. Engineering Degree. source

We're in Australia, I'm not sure what you expected in regards to maths skills from the general public. Hell, most parents can't even help their children with their basic algebra skills. Discrete Mathematics. source
