I've had my MBP for a little over a year now. It used to boot up lightenign quick, to the envy of my Windows friends. Not so much anymore.
What can I do to speed up the boot time on my OS X 10.5 MBP?

Just wondering if it is worth it, as I do not want to purchase a 2011 and be forced to use Lion?

I think you'll be fine with a MBP running OS X and VMware Fusion.
As two of the biggest resource usage.

I want to buy a new laptop, so should I get the 2011 MBP or should I wait for the 2012 MBP. Any rumors as to when it will release and what it could have?

I am torn between these three laptops!!
- 2011 13" MBP 128GB SSD (2.4 Ghz)
- 2011 13" MBA 128GB SSD
- 2011 15" MBP 500GB HDD (2.0 Ghz, Refurbished)
All three have similar price tags. This laptop would be replacing a 15" laptop. I don't necessarily need...

Take the 15'' if you....
And using Thunderbolt professionally, go with the 13 inch MBA .

I've owned both a 13" i7 MBA and a 13"... .
BUT If Apple bring out a 15" Air.
My 17" MBP and the Top spec Air, I love the Air, but as things stand (assuming I needed to replace my Pro) I would still opt for the MBP.
At the moment I have both.
