I've had my MBP for a little over a year now. It used to boot up lightenign quick, to the envy of my Windows friends. Not so much anymore.
What can I do to speed up the boot time on my OS X 10.5 MBP?

I think you'll be fine with a MBP running OS X and VMware Fusion.
As two of the biggest resource usage.

So...I need a new computer and I'm going to be switching over from pc to a mac. I initially had my mind set on the base 15" MBP refresh coming out in a few weeks, and realized that currently, the specs for the 15" MBP and the 21.5" iMac are rather similar...

Maybe have charger with a 15" MBP and besides it taking almost twice as long to charge, nothing went wrong.
I did it myself countless times between 15" and 17" MBP and 13" MB.
It will be okay.

Thanks for the reply! I will try to do that as soon as I get back home! .
But datas can be transferred by connecting your old HDD to a external HDD and connecting it via USB or firewire .
ILife should come preinstalled on new MBPs.

Well, it seems like we know lots about the 2012 MBP all of a sudden. Is it too early to start speculating on the late 2012 CPU bump or the 2013 Haswell MBP?
The most important question is: Will it include a toaster?
