Many people go to med school to do X specialty, at least 50% of these people end up for med school....
A lot of people consider med school a sacrifice, since not very many enjoy junkies.
Are worth it for you.

I am applying right now and I am 19 years old. I will be 20 entering med school fall 2013. Is this bad or good for my app? Texas schools in particular

I just finished P-chem today, and the thought came to me...if I can get through P-chem with an A/A-, surely med school can't be that bad. Thoughts? Comments? I'll be starting med school in the fall btw.

Getting into med school requires high GPA, required courses, good MCAT scores.
There are a lot of schools that have high med school admission rates, but that is not really the point.

Some choose alternative careers due getting into med school.
In the premed courses and never even apply to med school.

I've heard that after a while in medical school, students become adept at learning vast amounts of information because their brains just get used to having so much thrown at them all the time.
