I've never understood why people like it so much tbh. It's not bad, but I don't see what makes it better than any other media player out there.

I much prefer using Media Player Classic with the CCCP codec pack.
VLC is the whole package, the UI isn't HIDEOUS like most media players (i'm looking with it ever.

Helium.
Media player was using 61 MB and Quintessential 10 MB.
I currently use the Zune media player (version 3.0 and today compared its memory usage.
Songbird does have some great plugins though.

I want to play some videos stored in a usb drive connected to my computer in my PS3 or XBox 360.
The files that are in the non-removable drive are shared and I can play them in the PS3 and the XBox but all the content in the removable drive is not available...

I've set autoplay to "Take no action" on all devices and file types in Windows 7, but Windows Media Player 12 seems to completely ignore this. I can't find a setting in any of the media player options either.
