It is common and indeed sensible for anyone to type up notes of such a meeting, recording this? Recording a meeting may be a bit underhand, but it is not unlawful as far as I'm aware.

If someone is only recording straight up vocals to a stereo beat (which I really don't like doing because it doesn't feel like actual work when they ask me to mix it lol) I'll charge $35/hr.
