To each his own.
Both are great genres though.
I prefer the technicality of Death Metal, so i'm gonna say Death Metal Source(s): \,,/ Egh I give Thrash a slight edge over Death.

Out of the Big Four of thrash metal (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax), which one's your favorite? I'll have to go with Slayer, since I admire their dark, violent lyrics (and the Satanic themes), plus Tom Araya's amazing voice.

Iced Earth is not Thrash Metal, they have some heavy riffage the songwriting beats any other thrash....
The two fastest and not much else.
Powerful voice and he's a good bass player, one of the best ever in Thrash Metal.
