For those suffering with migraines, apart from the pills, what remedies do you use?

No cure for migraines.
My 8 year old started off getting migraines when he was 5 yrs old and so we started seeing a neurologist. He started him with amitryptline and magnesium. The migraines became manageable. The Doctor also told us to put him on a diet of no preservatices...

I've found that the best migraine preventative for abdominal migraine is verapamil, but I don't know how suitable this is for pediatric use (some adults can't use it either because it's an antihypertensive.) It definitely cuts down the abdominal....
Those damn migraines... I'm curious to know what everyone takes for those debilitating, consistent, pain-in-the-ass migraines. There HAS to be better meds out there than what I'm taking. Sent from my laptop using monitor.

I've never been able to accurately relate any foods to migraines.

I have just recently received my first round of botox for migraines (at the beginning of April). I didn't expect it to work simply because nothing else I have ever tried has worked. Boy, am I glad I tried it!!! I have gone from having 15-20 migraines ...

Some people AM Artificial sweeteners, chocolate....
I get ocular migraines HFCS - so my soda comsumption plummeted, which helped both with migraines and weight.
But more often than not they're caused by not enough food .
Additives and cold foods.

You get a dip in estrogen right before you start your hormone .
The pain ping ponging from one eye to another eye is also something that happens to me with migraines of the worst times for getting the hugest of migraines.
