Why there is not many "outboard motor" is not available in the market. I bought one from Ebay but it is garbage. It needs mod to do.

I have a deal going to pick up a very unusual Clark outboard motor. This one has the engine cylinder, crankcase and internal parts located near the propeller -under water! No joke! -and the gas tank , ignition and air intake above board in the usual places...

It is not that. On many boats if you could free up that interior space by moving engines out, the interior space would be greatly increased. But few want gasoline engines on crusing boats long term for safety issues. Also the ease of repowering or fix...

A few of the smaller Company which used Mercury blueprints to build outboard engines virtually identical to Mercury's.
Any Mariner outboard over 25 hp is simply a Mercury outboard with gray paint.

I doubt that the drawbar has been designed and....
If you look carefully you will see a Blue locking cable around the outboard motor mate.
