I am looking for an outboard motor up to 15 hp. It needs to be fairly cheap, even if it is not running I will take it. Anything will do!

Salvage auto parts individually I don't see an issue titling an outboard motor if you have a serial we have to title the boat if a motor is to be attached but don't have to title the motor that doesn't title motors,....

Exactly what Mike says.
Some might even recheck the lower unit when done.
And yes the motor drains.
Takes only minutes.
Winterizing also includes fogging the motor and most drain(or stabilize the gas) or run dry the carbs.

LSA Outboard Motors?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these are the biggest/most powerful production outboards ever built - LSA supercharged crate motors, 556 HP each:

If one was choosing a new outfit to do double duty as both a duck boat and fishing boat, what are the advantages/disadvantages of both types of motors?
I don't know of many places where real shallow mud would be a problem but I do know a lot of places...

This yr the water is very low in the lake I hunt and I am limited to about 20 heck even saw a guide with a 115 .

I have a 1986 Mercury 50hp tiller on a aluminum Duracraft 1860. The motor sounds great on the muffs. But under a load, its a dog. It's barely doing 10mph.
We have checked the compression with all cylinders hitting at 125. Spark test came back all sparking...

My motor is only eight years old but Ive' had issues with moisture in the fuel as well.
A heavy boat with that size motor needs a large diameter filter.
It is Stay with the 11 pitch prop.
