LSA Outboard Motors?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these are the biggest/most powerful production outboards ever built - LSA supercharged crate motors, 556 HP each:

If one was choosing a new outfit to do double duty as both a duck boat and fishing boat, what are the advantages/disadvantages of both types of motors?
I don't know of many places where real shallow mud would be a problem but I do know a lot of places...

Aint much a mud motor can do in timber that a outboard aint arlead a mud motor is good....
This yr the water is very low in the lake I hunt and I am limited to about 20 heck even saw a guide with a 115 .

Seems like a dollar amount from there.
The value of an outboard is to check out dealer websites that list prices for their used motorsuse NADA Maybe Im wrong but NADA never seems to be accurite for boat and motor value.

Anyone got any help on where to find a used outboard? I'm looking for a 200 or 225hp, any make is ok, more concerned with condition. I'm in gulfport, so thinking from pensacola to new orleans, but I guess any reasonable driving distance would be fine....

Great condition and runs really sweet. I've only ever had 2 strokes before but I wanted a 4 stroke as the slower reving quieter running is more suitable for my boat on the river....

There's a plastic screw-in dipstick just like on a cub, usually on the side with... .
There has got to be a bolt near the top to put the oil in It doesn't go in the petrol does it. .
I only ever had dealings with the old Seagull outboards.

That doesn't title motors, how does that work? in PA we have to title the boat if a motor salvage auto parts individually I don't see an issue titling an outboard motor if you have a serial for a boat or motor to deter....

When put away 2 summers ago, the other could use a little TLC or could be used as a parts motor it go for 125 bucks.
