I've been gluten free since late June 2009 but still having joint and muscle pain. Its not as bad as it was (it was nearly unbearable) but its still there. Probably muscle, your gallbladder is higher, and when there's something wrong (like passing stones ) you know. The pain will be so intense you'll want to go to the ER . I really don't think it's either. Since you mention no reason for it to be a muscle pull then why would acupuncture and chinese.

Mri's done. They found a bone spur on my C6 spinal bone, but on the RIGHT side. I tried muscle I had something similar a few months ago.
