Hi all,
I want to dose Potassium to keep the levels in the tank correct. The test kits out there are not the most user friendly and in my opinion not to accurate.
Obviously there is a risk to over dose anything, is Potassium lethal if slightly over dosed...

I was wondering if it is possible to concentrate potassium 40 just as a fun experiment.
Perhaps if there was a way to extract the potassium 40 and 41 at the same time which make up 0.012% and 6.73%.
Would dissolving a salt in water and then slowly drying...

Radioactive....
Concentrate potassium levels of potassium.
They do Ca 42 / Ca 44 ratio test.
Ca 44 is 2.086% in natural calcium.
No, potassium 40 and 41 are chemically identical, soy you can't separate them by evaporation http, not Ca 42.

Hi All,
A potassium channel is designed to filter out potassium ions at a maximum rate of 100,000,000 ions s-1
A common concentration (cell's interior) of potassium is 100 mM and 5 mM outside.
This means there is 553 water molecules for 1 potassium ion...

My ....
No one to my knowledge has ever suggested that the ion have been published on that.
You mean the channel is acting as a sieve that only allows potassium ions through? You want not to influence much the kinetics of the process.

I meant to askUnless you are adding potassium, the Elos seems too high, and the Red Sea about right, but I've not seen tests on either....
Im sorry i worded my question wrong.
At that specific gravity, potassium would be about 378 ppm.

At the least, I would want to know how much potassium doses are harmful.
Potassium ion is not highly toxic, but it can interfere with the
functioning of nerves including those keeping the heart beating
properly.

effective.
