What steps do you take to find missing mystery drivers?
I.e. You have new machine, and after installing a new OS, the audio or video or memory card reader doesn't work. How do you find the correct drivers?

For external peripherals....
If not, open the case, look for the main board make and model on the board itself, visit the manufacturer web site, and download .
Usually the main board (motherboard) comes with a driver disc that has all the important on-board drivers .

Assignments in a call to mystery(..., N) will be:

I have a real mystery with the T-SQL below. As it is, it works with either the DATAP.Private=1 , or the cast as int on Right(CRS,1) . That is, if I uncomment the DATAP.Private=1 , I get the error Conversion failed when converting the varchar value 'M'...

It sure shouldn't do that, but I've had similar problems... .
It's possible the DATAP.Private = 1 clause is generating a query plan that is performing the CRS cast before the Right(CRS,1) <> 'm' filter is applied .
I've seen something like this in the past.
