The Mosin Nagant in action 1997 I have long claimed that the Mosin Nagant has seen at least 100 years service in major wars and backwater actions. Just found this newspaper picture I had clipped in 1997 during the Albanian Rebellion and wanted to share...

Single action Nagant Looking through a collectors magazine I read an article about faking single action Nagant revolvers. I think they stopped making them in 1922. I removed the spring in the hammer and made my own on a Tula 1943r keeping the parts of...

Mosin Nagant This is one of the best forums I have ever used. I did not know that the rifles of my enemy would be so sacred. Thank you for being so wonderful to the ones that have given their lives with this rifle and their country.

As far as "enemy weapons" go, the Mosin-Nagant rifles were used by enemies the Mosin Nagant because they are plentiful and the ammo is inexpensive, the vast majority of people here have never been to war....
History is messy.

Hello,
Well, even though I no longer want to find one for myself, I'm still quite curious about this Webly Mk VI.
How does the Webley compare to the M1895 Nagant in accuracy? Just out of curiosity, I know the Webley shoots a far heavier round at a lower...

A Webley is not really....
I hardly ever shoot my Nagant anymore.
To the Nagant then?
Will it group the same firing .45acp as with the original ammo? A Webley in .45 ACP .45ACP target loads very well, but not as good as my S&W and Colt 1917s.

Painted marking on Mosin Nagant I picked up this 1929 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant a few days ago at a militaria and arms fair, it is in a pretty rough condition, but I love it. Now, it has some painted markings on the stock which I could really use some help...

Here is the 1914 Mosin Nagant I won on 5/4. I was finally able to pick it up from the LGS a couple days ago after a long wait.
In the first couple pics here, it looks like the Izzy crest was ground off.
Here it look like the crest was peened out?

1914 was a black year in history, the start of the Great War, Many in the civil war they scrubbed imperial markings off the older rifles and added commie markings.
Anything out, they grind.

Curious about Mosin Nagant carbine counter bores.
I'm dancing around three Izmash carbines. A 1943 m38 and a 1944 m44 which are both counter-bored at the muzzle, and a 1945 m44 that has NO counter-bore.
Can anyone explain the change, is the counter-bore...

It very much part of the rifles history of the carbine, as is the cosmo that was slatherd
The 1945 made carbine most likely missed extensive war use and didnt need the crown restored.
For the next war.
