I am not sure if Windows XP SP2 comes with .net framework 2.0 or not, I tried to search for this but I couldn't find a final word. So if anyone knows whether a clean install of Windows XP SP2 installs .net framework 2.0+ or not it will be great. Thanks...

I would like to deploy the .NET Framework 2.0 sp2 redistrbutable (NetFx20SP2_x86.exe) with my app. Do I need to uninstall 2.0 or 2.0 sp1 if they exist on the client machine first, or is it acceptable to simply install 2.0 sp2 over the top? Thanks.

The msi you get from Microsoft will handle everything for you. .
Why not experiment on a VM? As far as I know, you don't have to manually uninstall .
New version upgrade (or install alongside) older versions.
I have some problem with the .net runtime since installing some recent sharepoint fixes but as I can't see anyone else having had this problem I think it may be coincidental and the runtime just needs repairing. So, I do the usual thing, open Add/Remove...

Maybe try using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to resolve this one? Uninstall it first? Or try installing 3.5 SP1 as it will take care of previous version dependencies as well. .
.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installs the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and the .NET Framework 3.0 SP2 behind the scenes. These installation packages (especially .NET Framework 2.0 SP2) are not available directly from Microsoft. Is there a way to extract them from...

You could simply download the .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 (x86), the SP2 patch, or by capturing the Windows Update HTTP traffic), and create a batch file which installs SP1 then SP2 and the SP2 patch, except when files....

The latest service pack for .NET 2.0 (SP2 I think), that will update the red bits assemblies.
Is it possible to use WSE 2.0 SP2 under VS 2008? I realise that the add-in (that generates the proxy classes/configuration) is not compatible but there are work-arounds to this (copying over the files from a VS 2003 solution). Our web services are relatively...

I think there were some incompatibilities between SP2 & SP3 but the big SP2 documentation and notice that....
Here is why: if you the .NET 2.0 framework.
You may want to use WSE 2.0 SP3 instead of SP2.
State the addin tools don't work.
I have 2 user accounts on my Windows XP Pro SP2 PC, both are administrators. I need to totally delete one of the accounts, but can't find the option on how to do this?

I have some DLLs that it would be much easier to use .net 3.5 internally (to take advantage of Linq, etc). I want to use these DLL with asp.net websites that are currently running asp.net 2.0. Is this scenario possible? Are there any restrictions or gotchas...
