The local guy we used to have here had the same callers day after day, I
knew one of them, and she called every single day. All she did was agree
with everything he said, and would tell him how great he was, etc. It
was sad.
When she missed calling the first time, the host of the show called her
house to see if she was ok on the air! She wasn't there, she was in the
hospital, and died a couple of days later. They announced it on the air,
and she had quite a few listeners show up at her funeral, including
almost all the people who worked on the show.
