Black 32G iPhone 3GS is arriving tomorrow. :) One of the first things I
download to it will be the authenticator.

By the way, if you are an American, two of the iPhone's features will
not work because AT&T is not currently offering them. Hell might freeze
over before they do. So if you are getting the new iPhone for tethering
or the MMS texting features, you are going to be disappointed.
I do not understand why AT&T continues to refuse to implement these
features on the iPhone when they offer them on almost every other phone
they sell.

Ahhh nope I'm from Toronto ^.~ so I'll be using the Rogers
Communication Provider
Hmmm seems the Black 32G 3G-S is the popular one mostly going with
that one
because I have a Black iPod Touch 8G already it'll match that one....
besides my girlfriend is getting the White one so going to be kinda
silly to have 2 Whites (unless I get both but that's pretty rare as
they're mostly to be crazy expensive without a service plan)

Nope. I've had an iPod Touch for just over a year now. I just put 3.0
on it yesterday. I love my iPod, it does everything I need.

The plans are too damn expensive here in NZ. Cheaper to have an iTouch

I will get the new 32 gb one. My original model iPhone is beginning to
look pretty long in the tooth. I suppose it will be black. However, I
do not plan to rush right out and get a new phone the very first day.
But I might. :D
When I attended the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International
convention in Las Vegas in February, it seemed that nearly everyone
there had an iPhone. It apparently has become the tool of choice among
photographers, who like to use it to show off their portfolios.
I would like to see more of the aviation headset manufacturers adapting
their plugs to fit iPhones.
Putting it back on topic, I am considering moving my authenticator over
to the iPhone application.
I also happen to know that practically everyone on AT&T's iPhone
development team happen to be avid WoW players. Not particularly
surprising, really.

How come? Some people I've met really dislike iTunes for organising
their content (they seem to want to do it manually for whatever reason).
Or they dislike that they need to have their content on both their iPod
and computer (I've never quite understood that objection *shrug* But it
seems a fairly common one).

Which is dumb, because organizing manually is the default. It doesn't
regroup in your itunes folder unless you tell it too. Myself, I like the
feature and use it exclusively.
A legitimate complaint about itunes, at least on a PC, is that it's slow
and looks like no other PC app. There certainly are lighter wait music
organizers, and it's a shame that they aren't directly supported.
As for the iPod hardware and software - if you don't think it's the best
organized and easiest to use music player on the planet, you are deluded. *

I guess I read the Blizzard message boards (US) too often. I see that Ashen
already explained it -- though I would have thought it was pretty
self-evident. Kidspeak? I don't know. I'll be 57 next month and
understood what it meant the first time I saw it.

Oh, ok. So why does one need a lighter app? Not like iTunes is very
complex - which after all is one reason it's popular even with non-iPod
users.
The only thing I really wish iTunes would do is have a Linux version.
Not much hope, but then it really wouldn't matter what computer I was at
when I want to listen to my music and use my iPods.

iTunes under windows is rather unwindowy.
The most annoying thing for me is that I can't easily right click on
it's icon on the taskbar and click close to quit out of it. The menu
that pops up from right clicking almost immediately disappears. At
least it always used to. It's behaving itself now that I double
check. *shrug*
It also stutters the music more often while I'm playing WoW than
Winamp does.
And the way it has the menu's right at the top of the window without
the usual title bar above them is a bit jarring.
That's my take on it.
