Your Opinions - Cavs vs Orlando, Game #5

On 29 May 2009 00:10:48 GMT, Dr Phil <...@gmail.com

I was wondering which team everyone felt would win tonight's
game in Cleveland. It's 3 games to 1 favoring the Magic.

Will the Cavs, with their backs against the wall pull this one
out or will the Magic finish them off and move on to the finals
against the winner in the West? Or... does the NBA conspiracy
theory play a part in it and the Cavs somehow win the game 5 & 6
forcing a 7 game series? (which David Sternum would love)

My opinion; the Magic finish it off tonight in game #5 with
Lebron going for 50 points. One guy just can't do it all by
himself.

Cleveland will win easily and set up a pivotal game six.

Meant 6, but the way this game is going it may not make 6.

After this game, I don't want to read any more guff about the Lakers
being the only team that pisses away big leads.

The ESPN & TNT folks are keen to give the stats of teams who fall
behind 3-1 in a series. Something like only 8 of 187 have come back
to win. They repeat it over and over, but it doesn't really do
anything for me. It just doesn't tell the whole story. Like, how
many of those teams had two of the final three games scheduled at
home? How many of them had the league MVP? How many of them won 66
games in the regular season? How many were healthy? How many of the
teams that had the lead relied heavily on 3-point shooting? Etc.

I want Orlando to win. I'd like a break from Lebron-mania, and I
think Howard is a player deserving of a little more spotlight than he
gets. However, I think Cleveland can still do this.

Yeah, me too. Plus I'd rather have homecourt in the finals.

If you listened to ESPN radio this morning, you would think Cleveland
was ahead 3-2 instead of facing elimination. They were talking about
how game 6 is a must win for Orlando and if the Cavs win game 6, the
series is over. "Lebron won't allow Orlando to win in Cleveland" (I
guess they forgot about games 1 and 2 in Cleveland already where
except for a poor defense on an out of bounds play and incredible
shot, the Cavs would be home fishing already).

One guy was even saying that the Cavs should just run that 4th quarter
spread offense for Lebron the entire game. LeBron at the top of the
key - let him score 100+ and win the game solo for the Cavs...
