I keep spending money

On 6 Nov 2009 00:32:55 GMT, "lisa in mass." <...@operations.com

that I really can't afford to spend. I tend to do that when I'm
depressed. I'm expecting a pair of dress boots and an MP3 player
tomorrow. I need the boots and I've wanted the player for a long
time now, but I should have waited instead of figuring I'll make
it up later and getting them now using retirement money. I want
to feel better, not regretful.

At least I can probably stop here. Or maybe do some Christmas

I di need them, but not badly enough that I had to buy them
right now. I did buy on a sale that gave me a reduction over the
sale price, but they do come up periodically.

Amazon.co.uk is having sales on DVDs, so I'm buying them by the ten.
They may be half price, but they still cost more than I can afford. It's
some sort of compulsion - I must have that NOW! Given that it tales me
three weeks to watch one, I probably already have enough to last till
2020, and they've got 70% off action films this week...

Yep. I know how that goes. A Blockbuster closed near here and I
didn't let myself in to see what movies they were liquidating
because I knew I'd buy too many, and we don't need them with the
Netflix membership.

I must be on Amazon's sucker list, because they keep emailing me about
bargains, both UK and US. I'm doomed.

BTW, the local charity shop has started stocking DVDs!

Occassionally the homeless twat runs across a little hard cash. Usually
this situation come about by way of secret blowjobs in backalleyways--mind
you, always at discount prices. Begging for cash on busy metropolitan
street corners is another way of obtaining cash for the homeless twat, down
on her luck. I really get the fuckin' giggles when I see 'em holding up
those signs, the ones they shamelessly flaunt that announce such things as
"If the end is near I need a beer," or the one flaunted by the twentyish
homeless twat that says, "Vietnam Vet, God Bless." Yes, I really like that
one. So fucking stupid, this twat has no serious clue in which decade the
fucking war took place... Hello??

Yeah, God Bless 'em, every one.

I'm just the opposite... I start liquidating when I'm down. I'll

down somehow.

There was someone here a long time ago who did that. She was suicidal
and got rid of, among many other things, her much loved collection of
Bruce Springsteen music and memorabilia. She was devastated when she
stayed alive; some of it was irreplaceable.

It wasn't a question I felt I should ask, but I know she couldn't get it
back. Now I feel as though I should have bought her a tee-shirt or
something; it helps to know someone cares, doesn't it?

I have trouble gettng organized enough to dispose of stuff, whether

I often feed my need to collect crap now by keeping an eye on local
Freecycle lists. At least it only costs the trip to collect an item.
I have given things back through Freecycle, too.

Got a big dog crate for my pup, but she didn't like the style of it,
so I re-offered it. It became a box to transport lambs. I like that,
instead of it sitting in a cellar collecting dust, it's on at least
its third life now. Maybe fourth - I think the person I got it from
had picked it up from Freecycle, too. And I get to "meet" some
neighbors, too, at least by email.

Tell that to my book, CD, DVD, computer, wooden planes and video
collections! I've given a computer and my coin collection to Wynne, but
it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Maybe my short story
collection is part of the same.

I keep finding more as I tidy my old room. The latest was a set of our

pound has changed since then.
