So what is it with our local radio and TV stations about Antioch?
KTVU's started doing a "pinpoint forecast" each night on the Ten
O'Clock News featuring a Bay Area city. It seems that, one time out
of three, Antioch is the featured city. (Livermore seems to come in
second place.) What, there's no weather anywhere else in the Bay
Area? At least cover Cupertino for a change of pace, KTVU.
And then there was an incident this morning on Highway 4 in
Antioch where police blocked a lane as a crime scene. Yes,
it was a big traffic tie-up. But KCBS went on and on
about it. Was there nothing else in traffic this morning?
Yes, it should have gotten some coverage, but in *every* traffic
report? It's not as if Highway 4 is a central artery in the Bay
Area; it's not nearly as critical as the bridges, for example.
I never thought Antioch would be considered exotic, but I guess our
Bay Area broadcast stations believe otherwise!
