How would this be:
Use View | Toolbars to show the Drawing Toolbar
Add a textbox (or a shape like a heart ?) and add some nice text to remind
the lady
Right click the shape and use Format Shape (textbox); open the Properties
tab and uncheck "Print Object"
Now position the reminder in a good place
best wishes

Hi,
Another possibility, is to put a comment in one of the cells where she will
enter data. When she clicks on the cell the comment will be displayed.
Right-click a cell and choose Insert Comment. Enter a little reminder.

Cheers Shane,
The problem is that she dives into changing rota hours and ignores the date
cell.
It's a minor irritation but *every* time it means the bloody spreadsheet has
to be printed twice !
I have added a non-printing box as per Bernards suggestion and it is large
enough for me to read from over 30 ft away easily....Now we'll see if the
daft moo remembers the date next week ;-)
