The real question is why move away from SBS ...you could virtualize SBS 2008
and it's fully supported.
The transition pack is still available
http://www.cdw.com/shop/search/results.aspx?key=sbs+transition+pack&searchscope =All&sr=1
but really not needed to go from SBS 2003 to Windows 2008 and Exchange 07
You can introduce the Windows 2008 Server as a DC in the SBS 2003 domain.
Make it a DNS server, GC server, etc and then Disconnect from the SBS domain
and seize the FSMO roles. Before you do that you could introduce the
Exchange 2007 box and use the move mailbox wizard.

Cris,
The deciding parties are potentially looking to do that (move from SBS). We
are in the "what are we going to do?" phase right now and looking for the
right answer for this client. Were it up to me......
As always, Thanks for the input. It is really quite helpful.

Russ,
I agree....did not see that link before.
Looks like I need to bite the bullet and "play" with this "situation" as we
have about 15 SBS2003 clients and one-by-one each is needing to move to new
hardware and new software.
As always, thanks.

Cris,
I contacted CDW and they have not had any stock since January. They are
not sure why this still shows up on their web site. Just giving you an
update so that you will know. It looks like we might be moving them from
SBS2003 to Windows EBS 2008 now.....
Thanks,
Cary
