That is a lot more than one question.
Nope. Its much too limited for me, cant change the battery
trivially, cant install anything you like software wise, the
virtual keyboard doesnt really work too well because you
cant see enough of what you are replying to with email etc.
One big advantage with the iphone is that it does attract
the attention of software developers. There's a very nice
app that allows and iphone to be a decent remote for X10
systems which I'd love to have on any cellphone etc.
I normally go for the bigger version.
I prefer black, doesnt show the grime from your hands etc.
Wota wanker.
Nope.

I had an iPhone 3G for six months. I wasn't that happy with it (keyboard
will drive you nuts after 1-2 sentences, screen deal is cute but you get
tired of that, too, and its got glitches and bugs, too.), did early
termination. We bought two netbooks. Much better keyboard, nice screen,
real computer (running XP).
Yes, we were in a fringe area for ATT, too, and a weal signal means
connect failures, error messages, and dropped connections (we had a lot of
these).
Hint: locate nearby towers and find out whose traffic they are carrying.
We found a close tower carrying Sprint traffic. Then got a 2 year
contract _AND_ one of those new MiFi 2200 mobile wireless "hotspots". Its
a little box about 1/3 the volume of pack cigarettes. Finally got it going
and it works great, got three boxes (one desktop and two netbooks) linked
to the hotspot and solid connections, high speed, all internet protocols
(httpx, ftp, telnet, etc), no dropouts or drops.

Right away, no. I need to wait awhile longer to get the lower price.
If I could get it at the lower price today, I would run to the store to
pick one up.
It's got a compass...!
I would get the 32gb. Can't ever have to much space. I'd probably go
with Black.
