I’m taking a cue from Obama: This is no time to wimp out. If you want
to turn things around, you’ve got to go gung-ho, peeing in the wind
just won’t cut it and could backfire - or backwater - on you. But
then, the gung-ho route is one I’ve always lived by before Obama ever
came on the scene, as evidenced by my radical skeds of the past.
Anyway, beating the 5 nets to the upfront punch by a few weeks, here's
a hybrid lineup of what I think the networks will certainly do, will
likely do and what they should really do this fall, but, overall, how
it probably all should look like in September if the 5 nets are going
to make any sort of serious half-hearted attempt, at the very least,
of attracting my attention, at the very least, never mind more of the
mass audience’s attention. Chances are pretty good it won’t look much
like this at all because there’s not an Obama-type in charge at any of
the nets as it is, so it looks like they’re all just going to end up
wimping out and peeing in the wind and right back at themselves
instead. Too bad, it’ll just be everyone’s loss again.
If my success record holds, then expect about 2/3 of the new shows
below to actually make the nets’ skeds. New shows are in quoted
“CAPS”. You may want to consider the nightly Jay Leno show as new, but
I don’t; it’s technically just a time change, the same as with Conan
O’Brien. And believe me, this complete lineup is as good as it can
possibly get; anything short of this and it’ll only be another reason
for viewers to give up on broadcast TV and a few more nails pummelled
into the nets’ coffins.

I wanted to include the new “AbFab” sitcom on FOX, but not only do I
now find myself skeptical of it working as well as the Brit original,
but there’s nothing FOX has by way of any new or returning comedy to
pair with it successfully. In any case, whatever new shows not
included here could all be considered as mid-season possibilities by
default.
Returning shows held back as quick-fix replacements:
ABC - Wife Swap, Supernanny
CBS - The Amazing Race, Rules of Engagement
NBC - Heroes, Dateline
FOX - “Til Death, Hell’s Kitchen
C W - Movie Night
For those not familiar with any or most of the new shows, the Futon
Critic has the complete list for details:

&daycode=2&statuscode=1&genre=&studio=
Just change the network in the drop-down menu for whoever has what on
their fall development plate.
Arrive at your own conclusions.
