No, the technology of the Nextel iDen network is completely different than the Sprint CDMA network.

Sprint can't take SIM cards, and the Nextel aspect doesn't actually use GSM service (they use is 'NO'
Though the nextel phone has the SIM card slot, it's totally incompatable technologies.
