Probably a dumb question
i want to change the nipples on one of my set of wheels do i need to have new spokes all round or do i just pay for the nipples and for them to be tensioned

Old nipples sometimes break when trying to unscrew, thats....
If its an old well used wheel it's normally worth replacing .
If the spokes are okay nipples and have it re tenioned.
Personally it depends on why your changing the nipples.

Is it normal to have long hairs growing from your nipples? Do guys who have no hair around their nipples shave off the hair? If so, how successful is shaving that hair? I'm worried it will grow back oddly and look bad.

Further to my post re rebuilding my boss's back wheel I find myself in need of an extra long nipples. How or where is the length of nipples measured? Is it overall or is it measured from the seat of the head?
The replacement spoke that I have is 4mm too...

You won't find a nipple that will make up the 4 mm, unless there are strange nipples that I don't know about....
As standard, so it may be better if you replace the spokes with 8mm longer ones and use the 12mm nipples is not threaded.
