Hello, are the stock speakers in the Audi S3 the same as other 8L models? As my front drivers side door speaker crackles and one of the rears is totally not working. Looking to replace them. Thanks

AndyMac is the Bose Master! As per PM, all non Bose 8L's have the same speakers the ice system like no other From what I know you would need to get 2ohm replacement speakers not standard on....
And they would need to be 4inch.

I used a converter....
I used a converter i bought with a hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D amplifier at 1ohm, with 4 gauge wire on a factory radio with the non bose system.

The white wire will be positive, the gray wire will be negative, regardless of stripe color if memory serves .

Has anyone got any info on upgrading standard speakers on a non Bose coupe? Have done a search but can't find anything, just wondered if it's worth doing and will better speakers need fitting to the door rather than the doorcard to get the best from them...

Back to top I added JL Audio speakers all around, a Stealthbox and a JL Audio 900/5 amp Audio Clarus Tweeters and the stock rear speakers....
They do sound better than the stockers for sure another one .
I just got done installing polk speakers.

With non-bose, the front run off the head unit differences between....
And non-Bose speakers and even if I'm not an audiophile I think that the stock system is really amp in the boot, and the sub has it's own in there.

You can't rewire the speakers as they terminate on a multi connector on the A pillar so.
