I'm looking for a program for easy, no nonsense 3D modelling, preferibly one that is not too expensive but still covers the basics. (e.g. exporting to vertex pointers)
Which should I buy?

For easy and no-nonsense.
SDK so one can write specialized export or vertex manipulation routines .

I provided some of my programs with a feedback function. Unfortunately I forgot to include some sort of spam-protection - so users could send anything they wanted to my server - where every feedback is stored in a huge db.
In the beginning I periodically...

For your application, since you seem to get a lot of long nonsense words, it would be best to turn on an option in your parser to train on bigrams and trigrams; otherwise, many of the nonsense words.

I just want to build this on my development machine -- the binary install from Python.org is still 32 bits and installing extensions (MySQLdb, for example) is driving me nuts with trying to figure out the proper flags for each and every extension.
Clarification...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at stackoverflow):
If you happen to be using MacPorts , it's as simple as specifying the variant that tells it not to compile Universal, like so:
sudo port install python26 -universal
You can view available variants using the variants command:
% port variants python26 python... .

I wrote a C program in which I did some pretty heavy stack allocation, around 2 MiB. Since I use the poor man's IDE* I was automatically running the program via make in order to test it, each time I compiled.
I had pretty much wrapped everything up, but...

Namely, it'd be nice to ....
You can try setting the maximum stack size with ulimit(1) and see if it works:
# Limit stack to 1024 KiB ulimit -s 1024; ./myprogram # Now no limit ulimit -s unlimited; ./myprogram
More information is needed to diagnose this .

I have this query that spawns the following error:
SELECT * FROM Quota WHERE LEFT(QtLabel, LEN(QtLabel)-2) IN ( '1032', '3300', '9682' )
Msg 536, Level 16, State 5, Line 1 Invalid length parameter passed to the SUBSTRING function.
Am I doing something...

What happens if the length of QtLabel is <= 2?
It's because some QtLabel values don't contain &... .
Is it possible that LEN(QtLabel) <= 2 ?
Are you sure that each QtLabel field is longer than 2 characters?
LEFT probably uses SUBSTRING internally .

Homoeopathy - worthwhile or nonsense?
I'd be interested to hear peoples opinions on whether they think homoeopathy is a good way of treating issues or not. I have heard good and bad so have no fixed opinion myself, and would love to hear your views.

I have no idea if it works but I tend to use or something.
The only thing it can cure is dehydration.

Foreign chanting nonsense What is this rot that has crept onto the English terraces in recent months. Sort of Italian humming with some words that I can't understand. I hate it. Who started it and why ?.
