Calling all experts. Is it worth it to renew my Norton Antivirus? I don't know the last time it found anything, Opinions??

I’ve used Norton AV Norton rebates, I’ve avoided paying for the last two upgrades.

Why make a anti virus programme that uses almost a gigabyte of hardiscspace, dosent take spyware and slows ur system down???
I have been downloading a lot of shit in my time, and got a lot of viruses. I used norton for a wile, but the viruses comes anyway...

Norton needs to stress how much space they need for the program, before you buy.
I agree completely - downloaded the newest version of Norton a couple of months ago and my older a full refund.

Norton deleted fiesta online from my computer after this patch saying something about it being high risk. Anyone else with Norton experience this?

On most occasions Norton is tolerable but now and then I find it infuriating!
I get Program Control warnings (Low Risk) advising me that such and such a program is "attempting to access the internet".
I find this particularly annoying as these pop up ...

trend micro ftw Get rid of it, install Microsoft Security Essentials, job done..
It is the biggest piece of bloatware out there.
Best suggestion is to un-install Norton completely.

I've recently bought a laptop from Best Buy which gave me Norton Antivirus 2011 pre-installed. I've got the CD with me too. Now, I got a notification everyday that my Norton is about to expire and I need to ACTIVATE my product. When I click on Activate...

Much faster and more you! I definitely find that Norton, Kaspersky, Webroot and Trend Micro do an excellent job.
New Norton is definitely up there with Kaspersky, Trend Micro, etc.

It's always nice when a company - especially one that has been the market leader for so long - acknowledges its past mistakes and strives to rectify them. This has never been truer than in the case of Symantec and its Norton Internet Security product....
